Artificial intelligence or AI taking over the world has been a fascinating subject many storytellers have employed in order to entertain thousands, if not millions, of people for years, if not decades.
I don’t believe AI can take over humanity due to the limitations AI has when it comes to movement, let alone the capability to think or give an opinion.
Fascinatingly enough, AIs have advanced to the point where they can imitate school essays, resumes for work/universities, and, disturbingly, romantic relationships with people. All this sounds really cool, but most AIs available to people are overly simple.
I have experimented with AI to see what it looks like when you have to write a script, and, quite frankly, those scripts are very lame.
If we were to get the greatest AI script ever written it would make a mediocre script such as “Star Wars: Episode IX — The Rise of Skywalker” look like “The Godfather.” After messing around for a while trying to get AI to write a final battle scene between a Jedi master and a Sith sounds like a 5-year-old wrote it. There is more emotion coming from the Luke vs. Darth Vader fight on Bespin, giving people the shocking and iconic “I am your father” quote.
No matter how many scripts AI writes, it will never be able to come up with such an iconic phrase.
What AI lacks is that human ingenuity people are naturally born with.
You see really small kids telling the craziest stories, using their imagination to the fullest and, quite frankly, it’s beautiful.
All of the greatest stories ever told did not use AI, and one might say that they draw inspiration from each other because, sure, many stories follow the same plot.
But that’s like saying lasagna and ramen are the same thing because both use a type of pasta. It does not make sense.
Human inspiration is what makes humanity stand out. Humans build upon each other’s masterpieces in order to create something even more beautiful stemming from their mind and unique experiences.
AI will never come close to replicating that.
AI can replicate intelligence, but not art
