The Food Pantry is a necessity in the community.
With the holidays in full effect this month, it’s important to keep in mind how we can help the people around us.
One way to help is to pack the Food Pantry. It will accept donations through Dec. 15.
Alma Olguin, the student care coordinator, said the more popular items among students are ramen noodles and instant oatmeal.
After Dec. 7, work-study ends and the Food Pantry will need more help.
A major event the Food Pantry will be hosting this month is the mobile distribution on Dec. 20.
Members of the community along with Dallas College students are going to drive through for food bags and more hands will be needed.
