Richland Club Expo presents opportunities

Richland students have access to a large variety of clubs to consider. The Club Expo Sept. 6-7 in El Paso Hall featured clubs ranging from the Art Club to FOCUS (Fellowship of Christian University Students) to WEN (Women Empowerment), so there’s sure to be a group to make any student feel welcome.
According to the GitNux MarketData website, students who participated in extracurriculars reported a 50% higher GPA than those who don’t. Extracurriculars are a perfect way for new students to make friends.
Whether looking for a club that aligns with a major/passion or if just curious about trying out a club, it won’t hurt. In fact, it’s likely to do the exact opposite. If a student joins a club and finds out it’s not for them, they needn’t fret. They can simply express that the club is not a good fit and try another.

Whoever a student is, there’s a good chance there is a friend and a club out there for them. To make joining clubs easy, simply visit the Dallas College current credit student menu. , so be on the lookout for club events around the school.
There’s no better time to join a club than at the start of a new semester. The clubs are there so students can take advantage of their college experience.
