Dallas College and Parkland Health Foundation announced that a new primary care health center is under construction on the Richland Campus to serve Dallas-Fort Worth area residents. Construction for the health center began earlier this semester.
The Mike A. Myers Health Center will be a 30,000-square-foot facility that is intended to serve as a “one-stop-shop for health and wellness”, according to an introductory one-pager published about the new center on Parkland’s website.
It will offer a main clinic to serve adults alongside a pediatrics clinic and a designated clinic for women and infants.
Additionally, the center will offer optometry, pharmacy, laboratory and patient financial counseling services with more rotating services to come. Parkland Health Foundation’s website says that the clinic is projected to serve 18,000 patients once fully staffed.
