Chocolate Drip offers a wide variety of desserts. Owner Mohammed Quzmar said his restaurant is a new arrival in Richardson. “I just opened up like a month ago. Something I like is everything we do here is homemade. The gelatos, crepes, waffles, pancakes, croissants, smoothies and milkshakes are fresh and made with love.”
Quzmar made sure we felt welcome from the moment we walked in, giving us fantastic customer service and personalized recommendations. After seeing this new business gain traction on Tik Tok, we decided we needed to try it for ourselves.
Starting off, I got the white chocolate raspberry rose. This dessert was very aesthetically pleasing as it was topped with edible glitter. However, it was very difficult to eat. The chocolate shell was so hard we could not break it. Eventually, we got in by breaking the bottom. The fresh raspberry cream filling was very delicious and tasted fresh. Unfortunately, we could not eat most of it due to how hard it was. Thankfully, the owner was very kind. He said there had been a mistake and ended up giving me another treat to enjoy in its place.
Next, I tried the pina colada smoothie. On the menu, it states it has gelato as one of the ingredients. Due to this, I was expecting it to have more of a milkshake taste. I was wrong. The gelato gave the smoothie a creamy coconut flavor. However, I would consider this to be more of a dessert than your typical breakfast smoothie. This smoothie also tasted very fresh with fresh pineapple. It tasted more like pineapple than it did coconut. It was not too sweet, but just right. This was probably my favorite thing I tried.
Lastly, I tried the coconut croissant. As a big fan of coconut, I loved this. This dessert is a large croissant stuffed with coconut gelato, topped with grated coconut gelato and chocolate syrup. The chocolate compliments the gelato well. This was a very large portion and very sweet, so I would recommend sharing it with someone. Due to its extreme sweetness, this was not my favorite. This would be perfect for somebody with a big, sweet tooth.

Sofia’s Review:
I got the Kinder knafah crepe and it was delicious. It is a sweet fusion dessert that combines the gooey richness of traditional Middle Eastern knafeh with the creamy chocolate, hazelnut flavor of Kinder. The crepe texture itself was the perfect consistency, neither too soft nor too hard. It had a strong hint of hazelnut as well as a Nutella flavor, which was topped with melted milk chocolate. Inside the crepe I found crunchy kadaifi, which is shredded phyllo dough that has been baked or fried with butter and sugar syrup. It was a fun surprise that paired well with the soft crepe on the outside.
I can safely say that this is one of the best crepes I have had in a while but it is definitely on the sweeter side.
I also tried the Dubai chocolate Labubu which was indeed shaped like a Labubu. Inside, it had kadaifi that added a thin, flaky crunch to the otherwise creamy chocolate filling, along with a subtle hint of pistachio. It tasted very much like hazelnut and had a strong nutty flavor. The filling was encased in a layer of milk chocolate that formed the Labubu’s shape. Before digging in, I was also given a pistachio drizzle to pour over the dessert. While the chocolate itself was amazing, I found the rich milk chocolate overpowered the pistachio, which was much less noticeable.
The last item I tried was a beverage. It was an iced raspberry latte, which was exceptional. The coffee had a strong flavor, but so did the raspberry, creating a perfectly balanced drink. I found it to have just the right amount of sweetness.
Chocolate Drip Cafe is located at 1057 S. Sherman St, Richardson. It has a modern and pristine feel. The service was excellent, and our server took the time to show us what the food items looked like. Their desserts are extremely tasty and decadent, making for a perfect fancy sweet treat. They also offer a variety of gelato flavors including Biscoff and coconut, providing something for every taste.
