As Richland PTK officers and members made their way to Kansas City for the annual PTK Catalyst event on April 3rd, it made history as it placed in the top 35 of all PTK chapters across the United States.
Student and PTK president Seth Gowen said, “Our chapter proved its worth as a cornerstone of service, fellowship, leadership, and scholarship for Dallas College this year.”
Richland is once again exhibiting excellence through its students in the many organizations of the school.
Catalyst was an opportunity for Richland’s PTK students to network with other high achieving students and win awards alongside each other.
Praise was given for the chapter’s dedication and growth throughout the year, highlighting the impact PTK has on the campus and its students. PTK advisor Dr Jon Ewing said, “The chapter was very successful this year, Texas regional we were ranked pretty high in the state. There are 95 chapters overall, we ended up second in the state, which is a big deal.”
Overall, the excellence displayed has been noticed by many. As PTK transitions into a new school year with new officers and students, the potential and hope to exceed even further this coming school year is held with endless possibilities.
