NetEase Games released the hero shooting video game Marvel Rivals for multiple platforms on Dec. 6, 2024. The game follows in-game stories from the Marvel Comic Universe and features 33 playable characters, including two different versions of “Doctor Doom.” Marvel Rivals also received the NYX Gold Game Award for Game Design and Brand Visual Design.
With the latest season 4.5 releasing, Marvel Rivals’ production released new minigames, battle passes, minibattle passes, new maps and a duelist hero named Daredevil.
Many people are excited because Daredevil has his own life action Marvel show on Disney+ with Charlie Cox as the title character.
Daredevil, voiced by Aleks Le, is a very technical character to play.
His fighting kit is similar to Iron Fists’ hero kit. That makes the player have many combinations of skills to use against the opposing team within the matches.
As a person who grew up loving anything related to Marvel from figurines to films, Marvel Rivals caught my attention immediately when the first season was first released. With gaming content on my screen, I first saw a long-ranged hero strategist named Luna Snow, a hero that is only featured in two Marvel Comics as a member of the “Agents of Atlas” comic and “Tiger Division.”
Proficiency in Marvel Rivals is based on your experience with a specific character as you reach the mastery level, unlocking the final reward for the character. That rewards the player with a lord icon to show other gamers once you enter a new match that the player knows how to play the hero. Luna Snow was also the first lord icon I received. It felt really nice showing my lord icon, showing other players that I am a good strategist player.
I tend to catch myself playing the game a lot more than any other video games on my personal computer. As a fan of superheroes, especially within the Marvel cinematic universe, I enjoy the game as it keeps me entertained by giving tasks, rewards, customizable skins and more. Before Marvel Rivals, I never spent my money on any other video game, I was satisfied just playing free video games because I thought that there was no point in spending large amounts of money just for customizable skins that are usually priced around $50. I can save up units and lattices in the game to save up and buy anything within the game.
I have played a minimum of 60 hours on Marvel Rivals with seven lords, Emma Frost, Penni Parker, Black Widow, Luna Snow, Invincible Girl, Mantis and Cloak and Dagger. I can say I know the game pretty well and it’s easily one of my favorite games to play whenever I want a competitive and fun game to play alone or with friends and family. I can recommend this game to anyone who is a Marvel fan and is a big fan of video games. It is a great platform to play on and make new friends and even learn new unfamiliar heroes.
